Special Collection: Synergising Science, Technology, and Society for a Low-Carbon and Sustainable Future

This special collection invites multidisciplinary contributions that explore the integration of scientific innovation, technological advancement, and societal engagement to address pressing global sustainability challenges. Aligned with the journal's focus, it seeks original research and reviews that offer practical and inclusive solutions in areas such as low/zero carbon buildings, smart cities, renewable energy technologies, innovative materials, urban planning, environmental assessment, AI in sustainability, sustainable agriculture, and climate change adaptation. Emphasis will be given to works that highlight the role of cross-sector collaboration, community-based strategies, and policy-relevant insights in driving low-carbon, resilient development and sustainable future. This special issue aims to bridge the gap between theory and implementation, supporting the transition toward a more sustainable and equitable future in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
